US to stay away from Libya
The US does not want to take another chance with an Arab nation, after the bitter and costly affair in Afghanistan and Iraq. Now US has made it very clear that NATO has to take the lead in enforcing the no-fly zone over Libya.
Experts say that NATO also may not plan to get the foot soldiers into Libya under any circumstance and that could well be a prudent strategy in the long term. But enough damage could be done to Libya and other neighboring nations in the near term due to the ongoing turmoil.
