Will Twitter survive the crisis ?
The Twitter has brought in a totally new wave of users, by helping people to link and with their friends and colleagues and relatives real time. The Tweeting disease spread across the globe in a matter of just two years and you have millions of Twitter users spread across the globe , dotting every country / city.
But over the last few months, Twitter has been facing quite a few crashes which the company seems to be taking lightly.
Twitter has been down so far for over five hours in June alone and even on Monday night it reported serious outages.
The company needs to ensure that there are no outages at all, if it wants to retain the customer base. Needless to say, customers do not like to be hindered frequently, like what Twitter is doing.
This could in fact help other companies in the fray to grab more business away from Twitter.
Google defends Wi-Fi sweep data collection
Google is under investigation by the US authorities for collecting payload data from Wi-Fi networks. The company has now replied to three US congressmen wherein it has stated that there is nothing illegal about collecting the data.
It anyway regrets doing the public data collection and is expecting that the issue would be settled by this letter.
The company has been using street vans fitted with hi-tech equipments with which it has been tracking all the wi-fi networks, and identifying what these networks were searching and using.
Now the company is under the scanner for intruding into the privacy of wi-fi network users.

The ComScore report is out for the month of May 2010. It has indicated that Microsoft and Yahoo have been able to slightly improve upon their search market share. The report also doubts the basis on which these two companies have been able to improve their market share.
The leadership position continues to be held by Google with a 63.7 percentage market share, marginally down from 64.4 percentage.
Over the next few months Google is expected to bounce back based on the improved search engine facilities offered by the company. Google has been consciously improving the user interfaces in order to maintain and improve on the market share.
